1. My Name Is Earl: Season One (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One of the 2005-06 season’s hits, My Name Is Earl brings a quirky presence to network TV. The series balances offbeat humor and heart to create an amusing and likable experience. Starring Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee. Fox, $49.98, 9/19/2006.

2. My Name Is Earl: Season Two (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: My Name Is Earl emerged as a hit in 2005-06, and it continued to entertain in its second season. I don’t think the series’ quality dips at all. No, not all of the episodes soar, but there’s more than enough good comedy to keep us entertained ... This is a nice release for a fun show. Starring Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee. Fox, $49.98, 9/25/2007.

3. Mr. Woodcock (2007)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite the presence of some fine actors and a decent premise, Mr. Woodcock proves almost wholly devoid of laughs. Indeed, it bores much more than it entertains, as it plods through its relatively brief running time ... I can’t find much here to earn a recommendation. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Seann William Scott. New Line, $28.98, 1/15/2008.

4. Remember The Titans (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As is usually the case with films from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Remember the Titans reinvents no wheels and will win no prizes for originality, but in its execution, it proves to be a spirited and energetic look at integration and race relations in the early Seventies. I was put off by some misrepresentations of my home area, but even so, I enjoyed th

5. Remember The Titans: Director's Cut (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The DVD provides fairly solid picture and sound with a few decent extras. Unfortunately, it drops the best supplements from the original DVD. Because of that, I recommend fans skip this “Director’s Cut” release and stick with the old DVD. It’s the most satisfying way to watch the movie. Starring Denzel Washington, Will Patton. Disney, $19.99, 3/14/2006.

6. Mallrats: 10th Anniversary Edition (1995)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The “sophomore slump” hit Kevin Smith hard with 1995’s Mallrats, though he’d quickly rebound with 1997’s Chasing Amy, still his best flick. Mallrats has earned an audience of supporters/apologists over the years, but don’t count me among them, as I think the movie stank then and stinks now. Written and Directed by Kevin Smith. 7. The First $20 Million (2002)
Reviewed by David Williams: This film has got to be one of the worst-acted, least funny, and most laborious films that I have viewed in months...

8. Motherless Brooklyn [Blu-Ray] (2019)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Despite a strong cast, Motherless Brooklyn doesn’t really connect. The story fails to catch fire, and the characters don’t become complex enough to compensate. Starring Edward Norton, Bruce Willis. Warner, $35.99, 1/28/2020.

9. Unstoppable [Blu-Ray] (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A movie about a runaway train should be packed with excitement, and Unstoppable musters the occasional thrill. However, the film’s ridiculously active camerawork and editing render it nearly unwatchable, as the flick’s idiotic hyperactivity actually robs it of power. The Blu-ray comes with strong picture and audio as well as some supplements led by a goo

10. Remember The Titans [Blu-Ray] (2000)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While Remember the Titans reinvents no wheels, it proves to be a spirited and energetic look at integration and race relations in the early Seventies. Some misrepresentations of my home area put me off, but even so, I think the movie becomes fun and compelling. Starring Denzel Washington, Will Patton. Disney, $14.99, 9/6/2007.
